Virat Singh’s Lesser-Known Facts
- Virat Singh has been passionate about cricket since his childhood, but, he wasn’t good at studies. Virat, who was at the fifth standard when his results came back very badly in his examinations. Vinod Singh, Virat’s father took Virat’s bat from him and put it in a locked room. The following are his comments this, Virat’s coach V. Venkataram came to talk to his father. His coach said, “Your son possesses a lot of talent, leave him to me.” Just two years later, Virat started playing at the district level and did well, consequently, he was selected in the Jharkhand Under-16 team.
- Virat, his brother and their yard used to be a cricket field. Virat’s father was fed up with the regularly smashed windowpanes in his house, so he decided to admit his sons to the open Jharkhand Cricket Academy.
