RZA was born Robert Fitzgerald Diggs in Brownsville, Brooklyn on the 5th July 1969. His mother was an admirer of both Robert and John Fitzgerald. As a legacy to both Robert and John, his mother named him Kennedy after the Kennedy brothers when he was born.
RZA grew with two brothers. His elder brother’s name is Mitchell “Divine” Diggs, and his younger brother’s name is Terrance Hamlin, who is known as a 9th Prince. RZA spent his childhood in North Carolina, where he lived with his uncle. At nine years old, he discovered hip-hop music. He began competing in rap battles at the age of 11.

RZA began his music career in 1984 when he formed a rap band with Russell Jones and Gary Grice. The rap group was named earlier “Force of the Imperial Master”, and later it was renamed “All in Together Now”. The Tommy Boy Records signed him as a solo artist on August 9, 1989.
He formed a new group in 1992 with his cousins and five childhood buddies. The group was named “Wu-Tang Clan”, which was named after the 1983 Kung fu movie, Shaolin and Wu-Tang. RZA was married twice. Eboni mill was his first wife in 2000. He was a father to four children after his first marriage. He divorced Elboni in 2006 and began dating Talani Rab. He married his second wife in 2009. They are still married, but they don’t have any children together.
