Justin Marks was born in St. Louis, Missouri on 25 March 1981. His father worked as an executive in an American company called Crocs and was the interim CEO at Tesla Motors. Marks, aged 8, moved with his parents from Texas to Menlo Park.
His closest friend was his grandfather, whose home was in Iowa. He used to go with him to the dirt racing events. He was familiar with the Wallace brothers racing on dirt tracks, as well as local Midwest racers like Ken Schrader and Dick Trickle.
Justin has been racing since he was in high school. In 1998, he won his first race in street stock. Though he was following his racing career, he didn’t quit his study.
