Daniel Berger was born April 7, 1993 in Plantation to Nadia Berger (female) and Jay Berger (female). His father is a former tennis coach and head of men’s tennis for the United States Tennis Association.
Berger started playing golf at the age of 11 years. After graduating from William T. Dwyer High school, he played college golf at Florida State University. He was a Seminole Intercollegiate winner and the SunTrust Gator Invitational winner during his time at the college.
Berger was a golf coach and was named two-time All-American amateur by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Berger was also a member of the All-Nicklaus and All-ACC teams, as well as the PING All Region team.
