Bikramjeet Kawarpal was raised in a family whose majority had served the Indian Army. This inspired him to give his life for the nation. His father was a Lafontant Colonel in the Indian Army and was honored with Kirti Chakra in 1963, the second in order of precedence of peacetime gallantry awards.

Bikramjeet, whose father envisioned him serving the country and was selected in 1989. for Indian Military Academy, Dehradun Uttarakhand. He was there trained. for Two years full before being actually posted to ground zero.
