At that point, I was about to marry Aleya. She was fine when I told her dada wanted me to push for my wedding. I then called my mother who said, ‘Are you mad? It is impossible to find a date. for another year.’ I decided to get married to Aleya instead of working on Parineeta.”

My parents, along with both my siblings’ children, were to leave 2008 for A wedding in Haryana from Delhi to Jind for A family wedding. My father’s driver had gone for It’s a vacation. My father was in South Africa and I wanted to send them there in a hire car. After leaving Delhi at 8.30, they arrived in South Africa. • Amit, in interview, stated that his mother was always supportive of him entering the film business. He added that

My mother worked for Doordarshan’s engineering department. She was not like my father who loved films. In fact, while she went with him on Fridays to see the new film, at the interval she would fall asleep in the hall. Ironically, however, my path to success was through irony. this My mother is the reason I am in this industry. So once when I came back home from school, my mother called me to ask, ‘Modelling karega? Acting karega?’ She would read every word in the newspapers and she had seen an ad asking for models for serials.”

• In an interview, he revealed that the 2018 film ‘Badhaai Ho’ was inspired by his real-life. According to him,

Both my grandmother and great-grandmother became pregnant simultaneously. So what you see in the film has been a part of my family story too.”
